YOU DO THE MATH!

MY SWEET TOOTH
+
MY KITCHEN AID MIXER
+
KIDS BACK IN SCHOOL
=

It started with Banana Cookies
which led to Zucchini bread
gotta use those fresh peaches and make some
Peach Jam
life wouldn't be complete without some
Frosted Banana Bars
after hours and hours in the kitchen and a last
Peach Dessert
pulled out of the oven,
IT WAS TIME TO QUIT!!
My secret to not devouring the entire stack of sugar?

Cut into individual serving sizes, wrap and freeze.

This is how I manage all the treats at home.

At Christmas time someone pulls into our driveway to deliver a goodie and before they're home it's cut, wrapped and in the freezer.
Pull one out when needed, (EVERYDAY after lunch is my time to grab a treat) and enjoy!

My enhanced taste buds are looking for a new favorite Mexican Restaurant.

Sonda told me today that my favorite on the corner of Court and 4th has closed.

I'm pretty sure my face dropped!

YUM! Looks delicious. You always have so much self control with treats. Way to go! We need to follow your advice. Although I typically find people to give most of our treats too when I make something.

Yummy! All of those goodies look divine! That is such a good idea to wrap them up and put them in the freezer. I honestly have never thought about it before. I have a total sweet tooth though so usually the treats are gone before they would have a chance to make it to the freezer.

What a great idea. I love that you do that. I am not that great at math, but it sounds like a whole lot of work. The equation of a great mother too.

You are brilliant! I'm always hesitant to make treats because I continually down them, but if I freeze them, my kids can enjoy a mom who cooks and I can have one occasionally too! No wonder you are an amazing mother!

That is such a great idea! Your treats look so yummy. I might just have to break into your freezer! :)

Yeah, I really like the idea of cutting them and then freezing the items. So smart. I usually just leave it out, then after a few days it gets all gross and dried out. This is genious. I love to hear about all of your cravings. It's awesome. I can't wait to hear what you do this week while your kids are in school.

Oh Debi, I shouldn't have read this one. Now I am having my own cravings. I haven't baked anything for months, well at least not cookies (one of my BIG weaknesses) And even though I also bag them and freeze them, I end up eating quite a few before I get out the good old ziplocks!

Excellent idea to freeze. Why haven't I thought of that?! A 9x13 pan is FAR too much for my little family to eat before its tossed out. I hope you can have another girl too. I come form 3 boys and 3 girls. We've had a blast, especialaly now that we're older.

I think most desserts are best frozen. Are your kids as good as you are at not indulging?

Great idea to wrap them individualy and freeze them!! genius! Although with me it woule probably be a waste of saran wrap becasue I would eat way too many in one day anyway. No self-control over here, seriously.

coool. I'm impressed with all the treats you made, AND I'm impressed with your method for saving them for later. They all look so scrumptious! I made some chocolate peanut butter no-bake cookies this weekend...Clark wouldn't eat them, so Reid and I ended up eating the whole batch on our own. :D

Your awesome! I'll be right over......oh you don't eat them while they are gone you freeze them! :( I need to get busy too!

YUM! I say you post the recipes!!

If your freezer ever gets to full, I would be glad to "store" the extras! Great idea. I so admire your self control.

Ok- you need to share the recipes.. You have my mouth watering. I wish I was your neighbor. I think I would of been at your door trying to get in at all the yummy smells coming out...

And I must say- when I said post more often. I didn't mean for you to be a tease & say Ha ha Bren look what I made & you don't get any.. Look how good they taste... At least you don't have a picture of you eating it & looking all satisified.. Sometimes Friends just aren't very fair!!!

I'm not gonna lie, those Banana cookies look so good right now! And what good self control you have by wrapping them up and putting them in the freezer!

I now know how you stay so skinny! I think I will have to try this trick. It looks like a fun day in the kitchen, but did your feet hurt at the end of the day?

I'm trying it! Thanks for the great idea!
