Picture Perfect Weekend- Round 3

Kindergarden, Here we come! For months I have been telling Cameron that when he's 5 he can start Kindergarden. Friday was his 5th, so Friday he starts Kindergarden. Right? Poor kid. I told him he's got a lot of swimming, bike riding and lego building to do before the big K.

Here's a snippet of his B-Day.

He enjoyed rice krispie-froot loop treats with his pre-school friends (adding the froot loops makes them seem a little more like a party.)
A lunch play date with his friend Ezra. When I saw the wind Friday morning, I knew I'd have to do the Chuck-e-Cheese inside thing. I'd have prefered the fresh air of the park.

After the most deliberating mind-changing week ever,

Cameron decided on the Rocket Cake.

A BBQ dinner with family. We fired up the BBQ, poor Brent had to brave the chilly air and cook the burgers and weiners. Cameron said his birthday wish was for his little brother, who has not been feeling well, to feel better.

He's a sweet boy.

Then came Saturday. What's more fun than hanging out with cousins?

Jessica (at top, and clockwise) Elizabeth, Kenley and Haley.
Easter Sunday was lovely. I don't want to seem ungrateful, but I was wishing for a little sunshine and warmth. After church we snapped a few pictures of the kids. Not always an easy endeavor. Cameron looks a little bored.

Hope everyone had a fabulous Easter weekend!
Stay tuned because I am gearing up for the Tuesday Trivia Challenge.

I love the Easter pictures. I was hoping for a little warmth too. Oh well...I guess that's what we get when Easter is on March 23.

I had the same kindergarten problem with my 5 year old. She has been waiting since the beginning of last October.

Debie, that cake is awesome! You are such a great mom. I hear ya on the turning 5 and still having to wait to go to Kindergarten. Sydnee's B-Day is next month, so she'll have to get through the summer fun too! Your family picture is wonderful! Oh, and I heard you did an excellent job on your talk yesterday, via Jodi's Blog!

You DID do an awesome job on your talk yesterday. In fact, I put a bug in hubbies ear to hear from you again soon! Kidding, sorry, I know, not funny.

What great family pictures! How come our pictures never turn out like that? And your cake is great - my kids are never so lucky to have a fanciful cake. Jake got mud pie for his birthday yesterday - I guess I did put M&Ms on the top in the shape of a 7! ;)

I'm jealous of the family Easter picture. Y'all look great. We tried again yesterday and failed. There's always next year...

So cute. I love the pictures. And happy late birthday Cameron! I can't believe those kids (I always think of Cameron, Ethan, and Katie in the same category since they were all born fairly close) are going to be in Kindergarten this fall! Oh, and Debie, Congrats--You're officially popular! Look at all these comments! We're excited to see you in a couple weeks.

great pictures!! love that cake too. Westin did the exact same thing when he turned 5 (last nov.). He also came to me very sadly and said "mom why can't I read?" Then he wanted to know why he still couldn't tie his shoes and ride a bike etc. It was SO cute.

Such a beautiful family! They all look so grown up! Especially your girls! You are a fun mom. I'll have to try those fruit loops in the rice krispie treats! Sounds like a party! Fun weekend!

I love all the pictures. I can't believe how grown up your kids are getting. I still remember how young they were when we were in the same ward together.

Love the kindergarten story. Looks like he had a great birthday though. Great cake too.

What a great cake! Macy told me that someone took her picture with Kenley at the egg hunt. Then she said, "With Kenley and Rachel." After telling her there was no one there named Rachel, we figured out Rachel was actually Jessica.
