Dallin has worked hard since last summer to earn his Cub Scout Wolf Badge.
BEFORE the awards ceremony we had to practice the customary hug and kiss, just to make sure it wasn't TOO LONG:)
DURING the awards ceremony he awarded me the Mother's pin as a thanks for assisting him.

AFTER, he informed me that the kiss was just right and he recreated walking across the bridge.

BEFORE I started my peach canning project I called Amy J. and she gave me a Canning 101 lesson.
DURING the canning I kept peeking at the cans, just hoping it would work.
AFTER, I was rewarded with perfectly sealed jars and a sight I was proud of.
Thanks Amy for the instruction, mom for helping and dad for entertaining Britton.
BEFORE Cameron went to bed he was a little restless.
AFTER I checked on him, I noticed that he had found something to help him feel relaxed.
BEFORE Elizabeth went to school yesterday, her face wasn't like this.

DURING the school day I got a call that started like this, "I don't mean to alarm you Mrs. Spurgeon, but your daughter took a spill in P.E."
AFTER, her friends were quick to remind her that Friday is picture day, but for a $6 retouching fee, they could probably take care of that for you. Funny girls!!
DURING the Parade of Homes I fell in love with lots of beautiful things, like this...

And this......

AFTER I came home I thought of what I could do to spruce this place up a bit.

I love the parade of homes. I'm sad to have missed it this year, but there was NO WAY I could trapse around as huge as I am.
That house looks a lot like one they had last year.... interesting.
Oh, I think I just received some inspiration as well! Cute Cameron. That's what I do sometimes too :)
I LOVE the parade of homes so much. But when I get home I'm like oh my house so so not as nice as those, then I hate that I went.
Love the picture of Cameron sleeping! Sweet boy!
So much to comment on! Congratulations Dallin! That's a big accomplishment. I am SO jealous of the fresh produce you can get and home-canned peaches. It's a lot of work but so worth it. I miss home canned peaches, it's been a while. Cameron is so sweet. Elizabeth--ouch! I gotta have more to the story than that. I'm sure your pictures will still be beautiful. I'd just recommend makeup that day :) And yeah, I love going to Parades of Homes. Those pictures are beautiful! I love your house, but everyone needs a change now and then to liven it up. Whoa, okay so now I commented on every part of your post :)
OH what house was that? So cute.
So sorry about Elizabeth. How did she in fall in PE?
Way to go Dallin:)
yeah for a perfect hug & kiss.. It's hard with boys!
Sounds like fun the Parade of homes..
man- you guys there in WA are just a bunch of great women that know how to do EVERYTHING! Wow, I am impressed..
Yeah, what happened to Elizabeth? Poor girl. That's awesome that Dallin got his award. Where is your tummy at Debie? For someone that is far along, I should at least see a little bump. Oh and great job on the Peaches.
I've never been to the Parade of Homes here. I'll have to go sometime.
I don't know how to can things either so I'm very impressed.
That's so cool Dallin got his award too.
You've been very busy lately!
wow you've been a busy girl. Being a scout mom isn't easy. I will be following in your canning footsteps next week. And nice houses I though photography was strictly forbidden, Maybe I will try to sneak my camera in next time.
The peaches are really good. I feel sorry for elizabeth. I loved the parade of homes.
blog4ever!
I feel so sorry for Elizabeth! And I saw it happen! I was watching her run, and then all of a sudden she was down. Those peaches look yummy!
Poor Elizabeth. Hope she heals fast.
Those peaches look oh so delicious, and I am so bummed to be missing the parade of homes this year...so thanks for the pictures of inspiration.
Hooray for Dallin - that is quite the accomplishment!
I am in awe at your canning - still need to learn that skill
I think Cameron is one of the cutest little boys. I've loved him since nursery, and you just made me crush on him a little bit more.
Poor. poor, poor Elizabeth! That does not look like fun!
I wish I could have hit the parade of homes this year. I always have SO much fun. It looks like it was good this year!
Fun post!
OH my gosh. Poor Elizabeth. That is so not funny. Way to go Dallin and then Cameron with the book.
See, you can can. I am so very proud. Those jars look so shiney and new. Hmm... Not like Grandma hand me downs.
Great job and that kitchen is to die for. Is that Jared's masterpiece house? Good job.
Dallin makes me look forward to having a son in scouts. :)
Poor Elizabeth. Does your school really do touch ups? I would have paid way more than $6 back in the day.
Elisabeth still looks beautiful, even with her booboo!
You are busy like the rest of us! It feels good, right?
Great canning work!
Elizabeth is still beautiful--even all banged up! Looks like she took it all in stride. Way to go Dallin. It was just 2 weeks ago I was getting a pin on my shirt and feeling oh so awkward up in front of everyone.
I've never gone to a Parade of Homes before. I would love to see them and fantasize, but I would probably feel dissatisfied by my own house. That's great about your peaches. After you've had home canned, store bought, peaches will never again be good enough. Poor Elizabeth, I had no idea that school photographers would do touch ups, what a great idea. And good for you Dallin!!
OH my gosh elizabeth what did you get hit with, a baseball??
That is so funny- That was my fav. decorated house too. I keep wanting to use that purple/ gray that was on that wall and even had a friend take a pic of it for me.
Poor Elizabeth! You gotta love that retouching option now!
I love the Parade of Homes, they have so many cool things and such great set ups. And poor Elizabeth, what a bummer! Nice job on all of the canning, those peaches look delicious.
I missed the Parade of Homes this year, darn it all! Can't wait till next year. I do love your taste :)
