Boys, boys, boys!!!

We've got a new spelling for the work FICKLE at our house....
B*R*I*T*T*O*N
He likes things just so. For instance, this day he insisted on taking a nap under the table.

His goldfish cracker has to be sticking out of his applesauce just like this....
...and he likes to eat outside. One day last weekend we had family over for dinner and I put his high chair outside with the other boys. The next day he decided that was his preferred place for dinner. No, we didn't join him, we were already set up at the kitchen table. We left the door open and he ate on the back porch. FICKLE for sure. Look at that look on his face. Not two minutes before he had a meltdown.
I have been so tempted to pull out my fall decorations, but I patiently waited until the official first of autumn. Funny how the weather decided to cooperate with the changing of the seasons. Yesterday Britton and I put up a little decor to match the season. I can't wait to add the Chrysanthemums and pumpkins!!

Cameron has officially decided that he can make it to school without me. Dallin now takes him by the hand and off they go. The first day I felt the heart string pulling as they are walking down the street, off to meet the rest of their walking buddies.

I'm enjoying the cool mornings,

the beautiful sunshine

and my family!

Sleeping under the table [or other furniture]is quite a common thing for my children when they are that age. No worries...soon enough he will be back in his bed.

Oh boy, Britton cracks me up. I love the pictures of him eating outside. Silly guy. Love the fall decorations. Maybe I should pull mine out! But maybe not...it's supposed to be 100 degrees this week. At least it's been cooling off at night! I did enjoy the Bellagio's fall decorations yesterday though. Beautiful!

Britton is such a doll- even if he does have to eat outside! I wish Emma would decide that she didn't need me to walk her to school- I'm still doing a mile there and a mile back (Uphill both ways. Okay, not really) pushing a stroller. At least I'm getting my daily exercise, right?

Oh isn't he just the cutest ever. I love that smile...
That is so funny that he wanted to eat out there while the rest of you ate inside..
Man- I wish it felt like Autumn here. It's still 101'. We really don't have Autumn. It doesn't cool down until mid October & there have been years the kids are dying of heat in their costumes...

That picture of Britton with his tongue hanging out, putting up the decorations is priceless! But I don't know...that fishy cracker photo cracked me up. To say which is my favorite may be hard.

Britton sounds a lot like Porter. Has to have things his way. I've never tried Fish Crackers with applesauce though. Love the picture of him sleeping under the table. That's classic.

I loved this little slice of Britton pie. He is just too dang cute. He actually reminds me of my baby brother Brian. Brian was such a little character. He definitely had HIS way for things to be done, as well, and he did NOT suffer fools gladly. In this case a fool is defined as anyone with different ideas than Brian.
Also the applesauce with the little goldfish is priceless. I hope that makes it into his baby book.

I KNOW this story all too well. If a banana breaks in two pieces, it CANNOT be eaten. If shoes are too tight they CANNOT be worn etc....i could go on. We feel like we are living with Mani-all highs and lows.

What a funny guy! I'm enjoying so much getting to know his silly personality in nursery. I have to say, it's by FAR my favorite calling. (is it bad to have a favorite?) I love that age!
