Cook It Babe!!

I've always dreamed of being married to a
"CHILI CHAMP."

Saturday afternoon my dream came true.

Two hours of barbecuing beef before adding to the pot.

The perfect blend of sweet and spice, even a little cinnamon. (?)

Not too brothy, slightly chunky.

a made up recipe as he went along.

My help politely refused,

and 6 hours of bubbling,

Did the job!

Brent is already planning his next event!

Congrats, Brent! I love the smear of chili on the first place ribbon. :) So are you going to share your recipe?!?

First place is pretty good. We had chili last night-- I guess I could call it a pregnancy craving.

This has been the funnest thing since Brent got his tool belt. I am so proud of him. I can't wait for next year. Ed said he is going to take Brent on. Is this going to be fun or what?

Good job Brent. We are so glad that you did so great. :)

Way to go! I am putting together our wards Trunk or Treat with a Chili cook off... That's awesome that your husband got into it. I hope men will in our ward.. Did they do anything special to get the men excited to participate?

Thanks so much for your comments on my post. I can tell that some do not even want to go there with the subject. That is fine.

I would really like to know more about how you guys handle everything. The girls aunt hasn't had a "Love" long enough that we have had to meet. But I really struggle with the thought of do I let the girls be around her & a partner when the time comes?
I would love your advice & help with this.
you can always email me at brenwhizatcoxdotnet

Did you keep your invitation to the Chili cook off? Can you email me a copy of it to see how it's worded & give me some pointers on how they did it...

Way to go Brent! It must be in the blood. Matt makes up concoctions of recipes too and they always taste great. Me, I'm a recipe girl. Speaking of, did Brent actually write down his winning chili so we can re-create it? I'd love the recipe!
