Some people aren't sure the difference between
England, The United Kingdom, and Great Britain.
Great Britain: The big island comprised of England, Wales and Scotland.
United Kingdom: The countries of England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland, Northern Ireland.
England: The country south of Scotland in Great Britain.
Even though these countries are close, they are very different in accents and customs.
For example, in England a groom might wear an outfit similar to what a groom might wear here. Sometimes hat and tails, depending on how formal the occasion is.
In Scotland, they dress in their most formal attire: KILTS.
Brent was suprised (to say the least) to learn that the groom, father of the groom, and father of the bride are all dressing up for the wedding.

I jokingly told him that this was to be the expected dress, and if he wanted to fit in and be respectful to the bride and groom, he too would have to wear a kilt.
I couldn't keep a strait face for long.

You in a hat and Brent in a Kilt? Can I please come with you guys. I think that this wedding is going to take you both out of your mind instead of out of the country. You very well might end up like what Dallin said at the table. A kilt is a very handsome attire.

Yeah, take lots of pictures, but most of all have a great time. I'm so happy that you get a chance to attend a family wedding, and to escape with your hubby showing some leg! Can't wait to hear more when you return!

Brandon's got a kilt if Brent wants to borrow it. He's actually got the entire Scottish ensemble, if he wants to do it up right :)
My friend's husband wore a kilt at their reception. I think Brent should go for it. Thanks for clearing up the whole Great Britain, UK, England thing too. I've actually never known all that, and I'm still a bit confused why they have so many names for the same region, but oh well.

I have an extra kilt in my closet there in Richland. You could borrow it and then you could both wear kilts. stylish.
