Gentlemen, Start your Engines!

Rub-A-Dub-DubBritton needs only hear the words, "Rub-A-Dub-Dub," and he's in the bathroom. If we are in the kitchen, he points to the sink. I love the kitchen sink for a bath. Number one reason, I don't have to bend over the tub.

Saturday evening Dallin participated in his first ever Pinewood Derby. All the boys had an absolute blast. He won his first two races, but then lost the third. Everyone showed great sportsmanship.
He worked for hours using tools such as a coping saw, drill press, sanding blocks, spray paint, masking tape, blue metallic paint and epoxy glue: just to name a few.
The greatest part is that he and Brent worked together every step of the way. He was very proud of his efforts and did an outstanding job. His car won the "Sleekest Car Award."

Cameron thoroughly enjoyed the process also and is planning for his first Derby in 3 1/2 years.

Here's Dallin with the finished product (just moments before leaving for the race.)
Dallin absolutely loves being a scout! He loves passing off requirements and always acts accordingly when he is wearing his uniform. I think he realizes what an honor it is.
Thanks to my super computer savvy husband for helping me with our new blog header up top, I love it!!

I'm very impressed with that blog header. It looks great. So cool that Dallin had so much fun with his first Pinewood Derby! I can't believe he's 8. My Tyler is so excited to turn 8 this year! And that Britton is one CUTE Baby!!!

I love the new header. I need Brent to help spruce mine up. Are you comeing my way any time soon. Tickets are only $50 right now, but good luck getting out of Pasco. I hear the airport is closed b/c of snow and ice.

Wow Deb. It is adorable. The header, not the pine wood car. That would classify as Macho, not adorable. Your lucky to have Brent. Tool belt and all. Love them boys. Good job Dallin.

I feel like they're all growing up too fast. Dallin should not be in scouts, Elizabeth should not be in junior high and I still think of Britton as a tiny little baby.
Where does the time go!

I love the new blog header! Sounds like the pine wood derby was a fun event. I look forward to scouting years with my little boys, but that's years away.

As always britton is such a cutie pie. I love coming home and seeing his smiley face as I walk through the door. I have to agree even though dallin is not the frendliest person in the world... he still had a pretty cool car. I was really dissapointed that I wasn't able to come to the durby race.
