Archuleta Mania

My kids went from no real commitment to any American Idol finalist, to die hard David A. fans. They walked in from school yesterday with dozens of these signs to cut and color.

Kenley had a sign taped to her back.
And they wanted to make shirts. So we did.
They proudly wore them to school today. After the final performances, Kenley rushed to the phone and stayed there until she had voted for David A. exactly 200 times. Yes, you read it right. She voted 200 times. She came in to me and let me make the 200th phone call over an hour after she started. I admire her determination. Cameron, not usually bothered by such craziness, wanted a shirt of his own.

This is going a little too far guys!!

Last night's performances were outstanding. Personally, I loved them both.

Loved it Debie. They are true die hard fans for sure. Mattie said she could marry him because he is LDS and she knows his address in New Mexico. And Kenley is determined she is the one he will marry. After last night performances, I want to marry him..

David Archuleta is so going to win. I love the shirts. Thank you so much for making them.

Kenley David A. is so my man. I'm going to marry him before you. But if we keep fighting then my mom gets to. Even though she is merried. He's my man.
Bye bye.

This post gave me goose bumps. I voted for him too, but not 200 times. That's awesome. I thought last night was great. You are such a good mom Debie. I love the shirts and the posters. I need one for my party tonight! Good luck and may the Best David win! (I like them both, but I really would like to see the Mormon kid take it!)

I love it all! You're so fun to even make t-shirts. And hey, it's nice your girls can have a celebrity crush who is mormon and (hopefully) has good morals. I really like David A. too. I voted for him a lot last night, but I didn't keep count. I'm so excited to see who wins tonight! I really think David A. will faint if he does.

We thought it was a total "knock out" too! We are glad Kenley voted 200 times.

You can thank Pam Wheatly for starting the craziness...she made the ribbons for all the kids at school (half of them said David Cook) I guess they caused quite a stir though becuase kids were forming "The Cook Club" on the playground and other kids said they wouldn't talk to you unless you were voting for David A. Pretty funny.

This is too funny. Even though Courtney couldn't watch AI, she took every phone we have and voted on every one for a long time. I have no idea how many votes she cast for David A. She likes him, not in the same way as Kenley or Mattie. She wants to marry Prince Caspian.

You know how much I love him! My kids and hubby voted at least 500 times! We will see who wins! Can't wait!

I haven't watched AI before but I saw last night's final performances for both finalists...I don't know who I think should win. David A's rendition of Imagine was amazing, but I kind of feel like the other David should win because he's had to work harder, being older and what not. It'll be fun to see what happens!

I'll probably get hate mail for this but I was a David Cook fan. I can't believe he won tonight though. I really thought that cute little David Archuleta had it in the bag.

P.S. I really think they are both huge talents and both will have great careers.

I was a David A fan, but they were both great. My mom ended up voting 300 times for him. I don't think he needed to win, he'll do just fine without the crown and title.
