It's only fitting that my 100th post be about two of my favorite subjects:
Food and Family.
There's nothing better than a home cooked meal, prepared by someone else. Do you agree that food just tastes better when someone else prepares it? We don't go out very often, but it is nice to have a break and support our local eating establishments. I find myself wanting the things I know I love and I don't try new things. It's OK by me. Here's my list of the best eats in the Tri-Cities, according to ME.
Fiesta Salad from Fiesta Family Restaurant: The chicken and mushrooms on this salad are like a dream.
Spicy Chicken Caesar Salad from Casa Mia: Even though they charged our debit card twice the last time we went here, I'm going back for this scrumptious salad.
Mahi Mahi Fish Tacos from Anthony's: I'm in love. (The truth is this picture is of the Mahi Mahi fish tacos from Chico's, but after a taste test, I'm voting Anthony's the winner on taste, Chico's the winner on cost.)

Maui Zaui pizza from Roundtable: My absolute, hands down favorite pizza. We make it at home, but sometimes we splurge and go out.

Tropical Smoothie from Sonic: A delicious blend of pineapple, low fat ice-cream and banana, so refreshing.
Harvest Grain and Nut Pancakes from IHOP: Number one!
A completely naughty, can only have one every ten years, mouthwatering Western Bacon Cheeseburger from Carl's Jr: This seriously is the only fast food hamburger I like and my one a decade is coming up. (Can't you just feel your arteries clogging?)
And my good old trusty treat, a small chocolate dipped cone from McDonald's.
What's your favorite eat-out meal in your neck of the woods?
We've been lucky to have had a few delightful visitors this last week. This is my sister-in-law's parents who visited from California. Maria is a wonderful story teller and it was great to see them.

Jose and Maria
Below is Michael and Leslie, our "England Relatives" who are over for a few weeks. It's been fantastic to see them. They are off tomorrow to Yellowstone, Provo to see my sister Sarah and Las Vegas to do a scenic flight of The Grand Canyon. I can't wait to hear the fun stories.

I love food and I love family.
Put them both together and what do you have?
It's going to be a party.
(Sounds like a cheer!)

OK, Debie - I can eat with you any day! For starters, that Fiesta salad at Fiesta is AMAZING!!! I think I had the shrimp one, but man, it was good. And, everything else on your list is so yummy (at least the stuff I've tried)! I don't think I have a very favorite, but one of the top ones has got to be the Chicken Malibu Deluxe at Bruchi's --- That is the BEST sandwich ever! Oh, yum, you are making me hungry.
I think my stomach just growled. :) I don't know if I could limit myself to a list -- maybe that's my problem (among many). :) What a great time to have family visiting - I love that!
That is absolutely the best list ever. I am dying over here and its in the morning.
You know how I feel about those pancakes too. We have got to take the kids and go sometime.
I love Ed's chicken. Thats the bottom line.
Great pictures and your family is just adorable. So glad you had some time together.
Anything from Kneaders, especially the turkey bacon avocado on foccacia with a mango smoothie to drink, and the black tie mousse cake from Olive Garden for a treat. Mmmmmm!
I would have to agree with you except for the sonic smoothie and the carls jr hamburger (only because I have never had it before) If I had to replace those I would pick...
1. Black tie mouse cake from olive garden
2. this steak sandwhich from ihop
3. the carrot cake pancakes from ihop
and 4. the cesar chicken wrap from red robin.
blog4ever!
P.S. you forgot again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't think I've tried a single thing on your list. They all sound really good though. In fact, maybe I'll try the smoothie today...
At IHOP I love their pumpkin pancakes. Their new Maine blueberry pancakes run a close second. I love Applebee's asian chicken salad. That would be the real one not their lowfat one. And I love Olive Garden's house salad. I usually get so filled up with salad that I end up taking most of my entree home with me. Also, I don't know how it is with you, but I never like salads that I make for myself. It always has to be from a restaurant. And I really don't get that. I use all the same ingredients but it never tastes right to me.
I love the black tie mousse pie from olive garden!
We went out to Anthony's a couple weeks ago, and I got... The Mahi Mahi Tacos! They are unbelievably good... I make Tilapia Tacos at home, and they're really good too, and for the price, I can't justify the Anthony's ones very often...
When we go to Red Robin, no matter how hard I try, I can't NOT get a Banzai Burger (no tomato)...
We have a Mexican restaurant called The Funky Iguana that has THE BEST food. I seem to go through phases where I get the same thing time after time, right now it's their Chicken Molé.
And there's a little teriyaki joint near our house that has a Spicy Honey Chicken that is to die for!
Ah Food and Family. They are wonderful things. How fun that you get to experience both. Happy 100 posts! Tuesday we went to one of our favorite places--Rubios! They have excellent fish tacos and on Tuesdays they're just $1.25 (used to be $1--dumb inflation). Just about anything from Cheesecake Factory is amazing, especially the cheesecake (duh). Oh, and anything from Phyllis' house :)
YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Those all sound like excellent choices! I haven't tried any of them.
We eat out more than we should sometimes, so I'll have to give those a try! Family and food are always my favorites!!
COngrats on a 100 posts. My favorite eats in the tri-cities would have to be
-DQ "Oreo and strawberry blizzard"
-Cousins "Open Faced Turkey Sandwich"
-Casa Mia's "Salad w/ house dressing"
-Red Lobster "Chicken/apple salad"
Yummy
Hey! Just got back from camp...with your amazing mother n law! She is a worker! I learned so much from her...and she is soooo funny! Now....I think anything she cooks is da best! And, yes, all of the food listed sound delious!
Your husband looked like he was having fun! He was a good sport to be around all those girls!
Elizabeth looked like she was having a blast!
You have been having lots of fun lately! Happy 100 posts to you!
Family and Food indeed are the best. I've never tried any of these suggestions. I'll have to remember this next time we go out. The Fiesta Salad sounds really yummy!
yumness! I love all food but right now my favorite is the appeitizer at Bonefish Grill, Bang Bang Shrimp (every bite I get a little bit of lettuce with it mmmm). I don't know why I like it so much but I just do! I love any seafood and I love salads. The maderine talapia at Bonefish is yum too!
You need to try Sweet Pork Salad at Costa Vida when you're here- very yummy. Your post was evil, by the way- next time blog about your favorite fruits and veggies, will you?
Hey, sorry to leave you in confusion about Heather Locklear yesterday. Apparently the poor dear is suffering from a severe case of depression. I think it involves Treatment Centers. It was in the newspaper and on TV. It sounds like she has not been able to get over the break-up of her marriage to Ritchie Sambora. It's actually kind of embarrassing to me that I actually have paid attention to any of this.
My food obsession has gotten WAY out of control lately. Thanks for making me crave more of it!!:)
IHOP is pretty good, but i think the bestfood is(and i am sure elizabeth will agree with me): popcorn chicken from Wal-Mart. they are soooo good!
